yOUTH bouldering cOMPETITION
This competition showcases up and coming climbers who are developing the future of this sport. Amateur youth competitors will show their talents in a fun and exciting bouldering format. Come cheer on these young dedicated athletes!
Bouldering is the simplest style of climbing. Without the encumbrance of a rope, the climber is free to practice the sport at it's highest level. The object is to complete boulder problems, which requires a serious blend of gymnastic ability and grip strength.
With 32 graded problems to choose from, competitors are scored by their best 5 ascents.

Notes: This is only for competitors born in 1989 or earlier and will consist of standard USA Climbing Youth Categories which are Junior (1989-1990), Youth A (1991-1992), Youth B (1993-1994), Youth C (1995-1996), Youth D (1997-1998).
A competitor born in 1989 or earlier may compete in the Youth Bouldering event OR the Citizens’ event, NOT BOTH
